HM Revenue and Customs’ proposed introduction of “real time” information into the PAYE system could prove problematic for businesses.

The overhaul of the PAYE system, which will require employers to submit employee information on each occasion an individual is paid is being presented by HMRC as a positive move, because it will reduce the likelihood of PAYE-generated tax code errors.
